DWMB is developed and run by Steve Perry, VATSIM #810054. I've been with VATSIM since day 1 as a virtual pilot and virtual air traffic controller.

Over my (way too many) hours on the network, I've been annoyed by pilots who are not responding to ATC and also, as a pilot, annoyed that I need to sit at the controls during long haul flights in case an ATC or SUP tries to contact me.

FCOM by Norris Ng solved much of that. I was a frequent user but then it stopped working and Norris was not available to bring it back to life. Fortunately he made his source code available, granted permission to redeploy it, and I was able to cobble something together. Thus, Don't Wallop Me Bro was born.

"Wallop" is the command within VATSIM which contacts supervisors to report trouble on the network, like a pilot not responding to ATC.
